“I like two kinds of pie, hot and cold” my grandfather used to always say.
Pie is so simple, and so satisfying. I can’t think of anything I’d rather eat.
I make my dough with cold sweet butter, Central milling’s Artisan Old County Malted Wheat, ice water, and a pinch or salt. Sometimes, I add a little lemon rind from my mother-in-law’s never ending lemon tree.
My husband can’t get enough strawberry rhubarb pie. My son loves a frozen maple syrup pie.
